Thanks I'll look into it, I've been loading all 3 powders for a while now I'll chronograph all 3 but if there's a liability I'll keep my magazine for home with a hollow point I'll buy. I think I have to much time on my hands, retirements been good I like to make my own stuffFYI
I would never use handloads for self defense, to much liability.
For practice OK.
Afraid the intruder is gonna sue for shooting him harder?FYI

LOL......Yeah after unloaded my 12 gauge on him first.....AllAfraid the intruder is gonna sue for shooting him harder?
To be clear it's not the intruder that is the problem, its the District Attorney that uses uses the hand loading to show that you are a crazy, gun happy, trigger happy person trying to load more lethal ammunition. He will use it to sway those 12 people in the jury box. Tie that in with what he finds in your forum post and who knows how he may twist it.Afraid the intruder is gonna sue for shooting him harder?
Then use your reduced target loads so you can say you WERE trying to hit him “softer”!To be clear it's not the intruder that is the problem, its the District Attorney that uses uses the hand loading to show that you are a crazy, gun happy, trigger happy person trying to load more lethal ammunition. Unfortunately this is the truth of it especially in full blown communist states like Washington!… once you have defended your life from a lethal threat you then have to defend yourself to stay outta prison. I have been packing a 10mm, just watched a Hickock 45 video that covered that exact content!… the prosecutor will show you was packing a super killer!… why?…and your screwed! To be clear it's not the intruder that is the problem, its the District Attorney that uses uses the hand loading to show that you are a crazy, gun happy, trigger happy person trying to load more lethal ammunition. LOL, can you kindly show me a case where this has happened? To be clear it's not the intruder that is the problem, its the District Attorney that uses uses the hand loading to show that you are a crazy, gun happy, trigger happy person trying to load more lethal ammunition. Do a little research, Massad Ayoob recounted an issue where the person prosecuted had made up a "light load" for a .357 Python. His wife put the gun to her head, he tried to prevent her from shooting herself, Bang!LOL, can you kindly show me a case where this has happened?
By the same reasoning you should only use a 22 short because if you shoot an intruder with a 44 mag the prosecutor can say you shot the intruder with
too big a gun.
The only real reason not to use handloads is reliability.
Right on. Thats the reason I researched and in my CCW/self defense guns use only the same ammo the FBI uses. At the time of my research it was Speer Lawman I believe. To be clear it's not the intruder that is the problem, its the District Attorney that uses uses the hand loading to show that you are a crazy, gun happy, trigger happy person trying to load more lethal ammunition. WST is almost exactly the same but modern. But I guess you do need to add WSF to cover all the bases.LOL......Yeah after unloaded my 12 gauge on him first.....All
My .45 ACP ammo from 185gr thru 230gr hardball gets 231.
Really miss that 452AA !!
