Those are some skinny dogs. You need to feed them better.I'm a coyote hunter and have various scopes 1-4 to 2-12 that are all 300 yard capable on the right rifle.
On the bottom end of cost are the Konus Pro 1.5-6x42 w/ill. circle dot under $200.. It is a surprisingly nice optic, I have one on my AR and the other on a custom built Rem 600 in 6x45mm

My second in the under $400 is the Burris 4X 1.5-6x42mm w/ill. dot German #4 again a very nice scope

I have a older Alpen optics XP 1.5-6x42mm w/ill. dot German #4 while much more expensive I received a 50% off certificate at a shoot I placed in. Sorry no pics
Another very nice low light scope is a Meopta Artimes 1.5-6x42mm with a German #1 reticle.

Burris may be the way to go. Just my two cents Tommy McWanting to change scopes best options:

Check out Hawke on Dvor or Optics Planet. Lot of scope for the money and tough. I shoot them on springer airguns which are scope killers, have never had a problem. The optic snobs will sneer but they are not near as smart as they think they are.Wanting to change scopes best options:

Charlie, just a suggestion, if you spend the extra 50 dollars for the 6-24 I believe you will not be disappointed.Arken 4-16 ffp with illumination is $400. Because of the excellent reviews since their inception a couple of years ago I'm giving one a try, and happy so far.
I have a Hawke on one of my rifles and it is very nice. It is around 8 years old and never had an issue with it. It has the mil dot reticle.Check out Hawke on Dvor or Optics Planet. I have other 6-24, but for the steel target comps I shoot always in the 12-14X range in timed events. Pretty specific app.Charlie, just a suggestion, if you spend the extra 50 dollars for the 6-24 I believe you will not be disappointed.
