...can those shell holders be used separate from the lathe for additional case prep jobs (chamfer/debur)?

What's nice about this one, is that it can be used for a variety of additional jobs: http://www.kmshooting.com/catalog/neck-turner-tools/power-adapter-with-shell-holder.html . Just chuck it in a powered screwdriver or a portable drill.

I have the K&M tool and it works great, Its what I use now for nk turning. I think the reason John made his the way he did is to make it more difficult for you to manipulate the brass, using his new tool it would be very difficult to mess up the turning operation because of its flexibility. I can see by the video that your brass should be very consistent even if your not very consistent holding the drill as with the K&M adapter you HAVE to be very consistent with every part of the operation or your neck concentricity will suffer. As far as answering wvuredneck09
question I will leave that up to John but I would imagine you could use the case holder for any chore you would need to hold your case for just like the K&M does.

Hi, This lathe will convert from a NECK TURNER to a TRIMMER, will also convert to a CONCENTRICITY GUAGE and a means to restore concentricity.

Modular design, Buy a piece at a time everything will interchange.

All optional accessories will be ready soon.

Thanks, John www.21stcenturyshooting.com

I have no idea what the best is, but I do know that the 21st Century Shooting Neck Turning Kit is a great piece of equipment, I bought one last month, it was very easy to set up for somebody who has never turned a neck, the adjustments are rock solid, with in 30 minutes I was turning necks, all were exactly the same thickness, and now the new lathe looks like another order from John is in my future.
