what is your favorite lube when fl resizing brass. What about lube for the inside of neck?

Single stage press, Imperial Sizing Wax.

Batch loading on Dillon, Dillon Spray lube.

Single stage I run a dry brush in the neck, Batch loading on Dillon, I don't lube insides of necks.

The Hobo Oil made by @group therapy is by far the best lubricant I've used for sizing brass. Also the best I've used for lubricating firearm parts and my reloading presses. I used Imperial Sizing wax for many years sizing cases. Imperial is good, but it pales in comparison to the Hobo Oil. A little bit goes a long way. Just a tiny dab on your finger is enough for multiple cases.

PM "group therapy". He's sells it on here.

For years I used a light vis synthetic oil I got from work. Now I am using a petroleum based hydaulic fluid from AutoZone. $8 a quart. I thought it might contain sulfur and stain the cases but it doesn't. For normal resizing any type of lube should work. There's nothing magical about lube. I like rolling the cases on a pad. Should give an even coat. If the oil is very viscous it's difficult to remove. After sizing I don't mind spending the time to wipe each case with a paper towel. Wiping does about 8 cases a minute and I look for neck cracks. As long as there is a thin film of oil seperating the case and die everything is OK.

I use boot leg case lube (12 to 1 ratio) outside and inside. Lubes great, never any dents, no stuck cases, and cheap and easy to apply uniformly. There are many other good lubes I have used (Imperial is at the top of the list) but they are much slower to apply.

I also like RCBS. Its water soluble and easy to remove. Just roll them on a wet towel and they are clean. I don't like any lube on my cases when they enter the chamber. Lube in there is not a good thing.

^^^^

Spray 4-5 squirts in a gallon 'zip-lok' bag, massage around to distribute lube, add 25 or so cases, massage around for a minute, dump out and let alcohol evaporate (takes a minute or so). Subsequent batches take 2-3 squirts in the bag. I lubed up 238 cases in less than 15 minutes a few nights back. Caveat- as per above, let the case 'dry' before running in the press or else you will get it stuck...….ime:oops:

Imperial Sizing Wax - March will be 6 years using the same tin - I size about 1,000 - 1,200 rifle cases a year. Never had a stuck case using it - it's cheap. Down side - not the fastest way to lube cases for very effective.

Hornady 1 shot.

I’ve done 10,000 cases with my current imperial wax ($7), still half full. A $10 can of one shot lasts me 4-5 hundred cases.

Recently I finished up my first bottle of rcbs 2 lube with the pad. Worked fine, but sloppy imo. Bought a tin of imperial to try and sized 75 or so cases and was still on the fence compared to the rcbs. Watching the 6.5 guy there... he was smearing it on more than I had.

Do you all smear the imperial on everywhere and as generously as the guy does in the ^ above posted ^ 6.5 guys video?
