The best part of long range shooting/hunting to me is doing the work myself. Working up the load data. Getting all my numbers for what I'm shooting before hitting the field. Knowing my rifles and only needing the range at my location. Range finders are an awesome tool especially today where they give the shooter everything in one small package. I think it makes us lazy and takes away from what we have loved doing since entering this hobby/sport. I'm speaking of most shooting disciplines, not all. ELR is a different animal for needs regarding range. All that being stated, I love mine and having all that technology. My Sig 2000 is actually my favorite.
