Best Groundhog Match scope

veterans groundhog match shooters 200- 500 yd area. been shooting a 12-42 nightforce nxs and am happy all except for the 1/4 in clicks. have another gun going together and will be scope shopping soon. any thoughts? please include reasoning for your choice as the scope has to have all areas covered.. tracking, repeating adj and clarity at 500+ for bullet holes.

At the 3 GH matches i attend here in Pa. I'd venture to say over 50% are NF 12-42 BR scopes with the NP-2DD reticle or NP-R2. There are a few Sightron 10-50X60's popping up and the Leupold's are represented by their Comp Series straight power and also a few Premier 18-40's sprinkled in. That about covers it at least in my neck of the woods. I have the NF BR's on 3 of my rifles and love them, you need the 1/8 MOA adjustments for sure IMHO.

I like my March 10-60x a lot for 500 GH matches. But its a little pricey - nearly twice the cost of a NF 12-42 BR model. Have two of those with NP2DD, just bought another. I had an NXS and did not like the .25 min adjustments, sold it.

ahh i figured i needed the 1/8in clicks. darn 2k dollar hunting scope! i love my nxs,just kidding. i really like the nxs on the pd gun though. side focus sure saves my back in the pd dog fields. i will most likely do a br model next time. or if anyone knows if you can buy a nxs custom from the with 1/8 in windage ?this is a expensive game! dang....

What do does NF charge to have the NXS changed from 1/4 to 1/8? What is lead time?
