I have learned to call my shot after I take it. Less embarrassment that way.

I don’t need to make excuses. I seldom hit anything I am aiming at and nobody expects me to do any different. I never look bad because I’ve never looked good.

My personal favorite was a couple of kids (20-somethings) shooting a 9mm carbine at 12 yards. Target looked like it had been hit by a firing squad shooting 00 Buck, but had a good tearout about 4 inches below the black. After retrieving the target, one guy says to the other "It's shooting a little low," and the owners response was "Yeah, it has 600 meter sights."
