Best deer attractant for back yard.

On my setups in Wisconsin (I am in a legal area of the state), I currently use 1/2 of an Antler King Grainiac block. Plus about a quart of corn. You are limited to 2 gallons total. From then on I scatter a quart of corn at the block before I hunt. If deer do come in late, they only have so much to eat so they leave and you can get out of your stand. Apples and carrots work great. They love pumpkins.

Big & J long range attractant(in a bag). Nothing else close. Deer will eat anything with it on it. Put 1 part dicalcium phosphate, 1 part ice cream salt, 2 parts trace mineral(non medicated) out as long term site. Warning the deer will dig anywhere this is placed(for years). I put 25# of the mineral mix out April and August, you can start using it anytime dirt is not frozen,as you mix it in with a shovel. Cherry koolaid packet can be mixed in for odor, or vanilla placed nearby. If water is near most deer just hang close.

Chicken feed, lay crumbles, is like crack to deer. Right now the biggest buck attractant I my backyard is does. This guy was 15 yards from my front door yesterday.

Protien pellets and mineral blocks during spring and summer.
Go to all corn and protein blocks in the fall/winter.
I have woods behind me but neighbors all around. When I first started feeding four years ago they came at all times of day and night. Now they hardly ever come by in daylight hours.

My elderly aunt and uncle love to watch wildlife and have a yard that butts up to a wooded area. They are wanting to attract deer to the edge of their yard where it meets the back side of their yard. I am looking for suggestions on what would be the best attractant to draw the deer in.

A standard salt block was put out but so far has not drawn any deer in. I was thinking peanut butter but have read mixed reviews on the deer liking it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Whole corn, spread a gallon bucket worth along the tree line-you put it out and they will come. This time of year it will be after dark.

My sons apple trees do real well.

First most states have laws against feeding wildlife. However, If they planted an apple tree or grab apple tree on their property line for apples and the deer just happen to come in to eat fallen fruit, so be it.
Deer do love apples.
someone mention peanut butter, I know the mule deer in my area, love the stuff.

My buddy has a wood line 30yds from the back of his new house. He started dumping corn and setting out mineral blocks shortly after he moved in. It didn't take long before he started seeing critters. Deer and turkey mostly but small fur bearers joined in too.

Unfortunately, he started picking up ticks which he attributed to having deer that close to the house on a regular basis. It was less that 1 year when his wife was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Just something to think about if you concentrate deer near your home.

I live in a city. Don't have to attract deer they are everywhere. They destroy just about anything I plant in the yard. At least 5 to 10 travel thru my yard every day or night. I can stand 20 feet from them and yell and wave my arms and they just stand there and look at me. They don't like loud noises. Deer have been finding natural food since the last ice age, they don't need help. They can live off of your lawn. I have a fawn born in my backyard every year.
