Best Chassis Stock

4D9E857A-65A0-401A-BC59-42FEC8B3EF7F.jpeg I agree completely and I am intrigued by the many different chassis it’s just not my cup of tea yet I’m sure I will warm up to them eventually as far as manners they are expensive and I also feel they are the best stock I was lucky I ordered mine and received an email from them that they had one in stock that a customer declined due to a slight imperfection in color at the seam of the mold so I got it shipped out right away

Each individual shooter has a fit which requires stocks to be adjustable unless it's a custom fit and most won't want to afford a custom fit. So the adjustable stocks entered into the picture where the shooter could make some minor adjustments in an effort to accommodate their personal fit.

Stress-free bedding was required to allow the barreled actions to fit the stock. But each action and every stock required bedding. Enter the bedding block and the chassis systems which have the block integral with the stock design. Now the chassis makers state that their action areas don't require bedding since the fit is so good. You can also buy a bedding block from a couple of makers which can be added to an existing composite stock. Weight of the chassis figures prominently in some forms of competitions.

Manners makes the Mini-Chassis with the integral DBM M5 system. Others requires the addition of M5 bottom metal to allow for DBM use. Costs of the Mini-Chassis and aluminum chassis in general have escalated just like the costs of composite stocks. Top of the line anything will run $1,000+ to over $2,000 for a couple of the very best. What you pay is determined by how you want to use the chassis or stock and how much or how little you're willing to pay. Many times asking the question of 'which is the best?' should actually be interpreted as 'which one is the cheapest?'

Here are two of the many lists attempting to answer the questions about which one is most used. Bear in mind that every named manufacturer has more than one model:

My favorite chassis for long range shooting is the APO Sabre Forrst:

They’re everything I want.(McRee) A little heavy maybe, I don’t know. I suppose it’s personal preference, how they feel. And fair prices. Super customer service, talk directly to the owner. I’d trade my AI for one.
