Best bullet puller?

Not a lot to grip on the side of an SWC but I think I'll try. Thanks

Given that, a collet puller won't work either.

If the brute force method (pliers) doesn't work, and you have no need of the brass, hacksaw below the bullet and melt the lead out of the resulting ring.

I got a set of RCBS collets with the die, and I just put the case in my press and raise the bullet into the correct collet and tighten, works great and normally doesn't damage the bullet. But you do have to have a little bit of flat surface on the side to bite into. If not, inertial bullet puller, aka plastic hammer! Very loud, many times doesn't seem to work on stuck bullets.

I pulled a bunch of pullets once where I held the plyers vertical and let them self tighten as the ram was pulled ram down, worked great except, not good on the treads of the press, live and learn moment, holding side cutters horizonal is a better plan
: " not good on the treads of the press, live and learn moment, "

there is a 3d printed thread protector available for just this purpose. i have a couple, don't recall if i got them on AS or evil-bay. the top id has a chamfer to align and cam the plier noses tight to the bullet.....

This is working well for me. I know I can re-size the brass but I'm wondering if expand and bell operation might create enough pressure in the case to push the primer out.

Doubt it. Seating a bullet (i.e. forcing lead into the sealed case) doesn't. Why would belling?

In any case just reseat the primer if needed.
