Seems to me that the traditional bolt action repeater has the heritage of the "stripper clip" written all over it (even if it doesn't use stripper clips).
The big open top originates here. Though the Swiss K31 uses a stripper clip without the "open sky" top.
Have always admired the Tikka action for it narrow single stack mag, and small ejection port. Allows for a ridgid action to hang a barrel on.
Note the evolution of Savage and Ruger in some of their latest offerings towards the "Tikka" design. Is this the wave of the future? Is there a "Remington Clone" along the Tikka lines?
So, is their a "best" repeater bolt design? And who makes a cone breech repeater along these design lines?
