Best $300 Annealing Machine?

AGS annealer. 5.6875" side to side/front to back, outside dimension. Metal thickness is ~.0625". 3" height.
I use blocks of wood with a 1/8" saw cut 1/4" deep on each side to elevate the base. I know it is hot brass and wood is flammable, but no fires yet.
Thanks. We both did the same thing.
I am about to start a thread on the mods I did.

6 BRA brass last a very long time without annealing, nevertheless have you looked at this one ?
Yup. I never annealed mine...i have about 600 pieces of Lapua...going on 20 years with around 20 firings a piece. Not a single split neck yet! That said, it's a tight neck so the brass doesn't get overworked...and I plan to anneal soo to even everything out.

I need to have a closer look at the Ugly...looks pretty slick and well made!

Let me know when you start the thread so I can find it. I would mod the AGS annealer to make the hole bigger where the brass drops into the pan. My 300 Win Mag cases reach the hole and tip, then get hung up because the hole is too small. I used a paper clip on top to keep the brass upright so it will always drop through the hole. I also researched speed control circuit board and motor replacement parts if anyone should need them.

Try this

I actually ordered a larger diameter knob to help with the adjusting of the speed. I think the larger diameter would make it more friendly to fine tune.

I didn't receive what I ordered. I've been out of state so I haven't reordered yet. I'll keep you posted.
please do. That would be a nice add on, along with me striking a better deal with carriers about shipping which now allows me to offer the AGS Annealer at a bit lower price, despite raw materials and components prices went up more than double.

EP 2.0 annealer.... comes with everything ya need but the propane tank and can anneal from 17 hornet to 50bmg and adjust from cartridge to cartridge in under 30seconds and without having to add or remove any parts. Assembled in Wisconsin & machined parts made in Wisconsin. Boxed up and ready to ship Monday and Thursday morning. If you have an issue, then email us and we usually reply within hours if not minutes. Hands down the best KISS method of annealing and is very consistent.

I am producing them with digital readout now as well :)

I bought an Annie (out of the price range here) and am now hooked on induction annealing. It's simple, fast, and I can run it on my loading bench (powder, primers & ammo removed) without special ventilation. Water cooling the coil lets me keep up the pace. I got a flux concentrator coil (ferrite yoke) and am pleased with the efficiency - .223 in 1.2 seconds! If you can build your own induction annealer at this price point, it's definitely worth the effort.
