Best 25-06 Brass help

Haven’t reloaded since the 80s rem or win only choice for brass then now many, going to build a 6mm-06 so what brass are members using. thanks for any help or advice

I shot a 6mm06. I use new hornady 25-06 brass as a preference. But I also run winchester 30-06 through a rcbs 25-06 trim die also. BTW ch4d dies are way more affordable than rcbs or redding!

I would suggest Norma brass for the best possible longevity, I use this, and Rem or Win, in my 25-06, and it definitely lasts the longest if it's annealed often enough. Either of the other 2 do the job too.

Cheers.

Lapua brass is the most commonly used among reloaders I know who shoot every week. It lasts ! In my .223 it has lasted for 30 + loadings maybe more and in my .30 Br the same. Both loaded above recommended maximum charge levels.

Lapua ,30-06 necked down is the BEST. I inside ream at 30 cal, neck down in two steps , then outside neck turn. I also anneal. in a good chamber it really works. also in a Factory Remington LR, it holds up better then anything else I've ever tried. Been shooting the 25-06 since 1969 when Remington legitimized them. it's a lot of work making the brass ,but it pays off , I also use this brass in my 7600 Pump gun in 25-06. But that's another story.
take your time , Prep the Lapua brass and you will have the best.

I've always used Remington 25.06 brass and have never had any issues getting good handloads with the Rem brass. I looked at Nosler and Norma recently because I can't find Remington brass anymore. Both are pricey but I went with Norma because it wasn't quite as high as the Nosler. The Norma brass is good brass and has worked out well and does tend to last longer than the Rem brass I've used. I've never used Winchester or Hornady 25.06 brass so I can't comment on those.

Another option is Prvi Partizan. It is less expensive and a lot of folks have had good luck with it. I've used it and think it is at least as good as Remington and better than the new production Winchester.
Powder Valley and Graf handles it. Powder Valley has 25-06 available for $46 per 100

I have had good luck with Prvi (PPU) brass. It seems at least as good of quality as new Winchester and has much better availability.

The highest quality brass you will find for it is either Lapua or RWS 30-06 cases necked down.
Norma also makes decent brass in 25-06 or 30-06.
