If I had to carry a 12 gauge it would be full of the largest size tungsten shot I could find. Apex makes a 2-1/2 oz BB TSS load.
Sounds like Sevier and mccurtain County lolA badass slug followed by 3 or 3.5” buckshot. Alternating back to a slug after the buckshot seems kinda dumb. Used to hear it and wonder what the mentality was when running dogs. Miss it with a slug, follow with buckshot and if you miss it there hell go back to a slug. Only guys i ever knew doing this also killed deer running across a gas line at 800yd with a 742 in 30-06
In a situation like that, it's everyone man (or dog) for himself. It's why you only need to be faster than your guide. Besides, he's supposed to be carrying the stopper.that dog did nothing to help his master
Well I will defer to your expertise and experience what with you living in Arkansas your obviously an expert on charging brown bears……….. I only lived and worked in remote Alaska and the Kenai…A badass slug followed by 3 or 3.5” buckshot. Alternating back to a slug after the buckshot seems kinda dumb. Aren’t you a cheerful one. Missed with the slug, hit him with the buckshot, as he runs faster lets go back to a slug, if that dont work lets go back to buckshot.Well I will defer to your expertise and experience what with you living in Arkansas your obviously an expert on charging brown bears………..
