Anyone have any conclusions from testing the hybrids? I have not been able to test any yet. Have had success with Sierra 107s and Berger 105 VLDs target in BRX 1-8 PacNor, 31"

I was in the 6mm test group, but had limited opportunity to shoot 'em. Still, what shooting I did do (6XC, 6HAGAR, 6RAT out to 600 yards) tells me they're every bit as good as Berger's 105VLD, my standard competition bullet.

(6XC: 1:7.8 Bartlein 5R 30"; 6HAGAR & 6RAT spaceguns: 1:7.5 Kreiger 26")

Warmer weather in 2012 will see me doing more testing with what's left over & I received another 100 of the same lot# as part of the deal. Also looking to see how the .308 155 Hybrid shoots in my new 1:12 tubegun for Palma....

I tried them at 100 yds in my 8.3" Bartlein with 32.5 and 33 gr Varget seated them as a reader here at .015" off the lands. The 33 grain load had 4 consecutive shots looking like 1 ragged hole and operator error opened it up to .202". The 32.5 was beautifully round and measured .224". I think thy might just work in that twist. I`m gonna shoot them Saturday at 600 if the conditions allow

I was in the 155gr. 308 test group back in the spring. I used my Tac rifle, which has a 10" twist, and shot groups at 100 and 200 yds. Rounds were loaded to mag length which put them 0.030" off the lands. If memory serves me correctly, the groups averaged a little over 0.375". This same setup using Sierra Palmas does not make 0.5" average. I have since shot the hybrids out to 550 yds. and hit a 4" plate 8 times before a miss. In my opinion the Berger Hybrids are an improvment.

Does anyone know if they intend to bring these out in 95gn 6mm?

I haven't heard anything to that effect. But I doubt it's at the top of their list. (I do, however, expect--or maybe that's hope--they'll come out with a 115-class 6mm hybrid) The other hybrids are tend to be a) heavy for caliber and/or b) weights used for long range shooting. I don't know of of too many folks using 95 grain 6mm pills for long range.

That said, I have no idea what Berger's got planned, but I would expect other hybrids before a 95-class 6mm. (e.g., in no particular order, a 80+ grain 22 cal, 140-class 6.5, and a 115-class 6mm.)

I would like to say in long range BR.groups in the 2's don't get it. The 115's shoot in the 1's and are very good at 1K those small groups will produce 3" and under @ 1K. That being said doesn't mean XC and F class ..2 groups will work and but the cone of dispersion is twice the size. The new Berger 105's i went with a .2's gun and it shot 5",i hope it will do better if not the 115's will. They are a nice bullet and it was easy to hit .2, i think it will do more......jim

One of our club shooters just set a new record at the 600 yard club, with a .9" group; using the new 105 Hybrid and IMR 8208 XBR powder in a 6mm dasher. I didn't see consistency in the aggregate, but he was trying out the loads so he could have been experimenting w/ different charges.
