berger hybrids

i am thinking about trying 105 berger hybrids what are some things people have seen as far as changing seating depths and charge changing any help will be appreciated

what ive shot in anew brx seems to like a short jump you can see some of the last 3 shot groups i shot with mine at tommy@ shurley brothers.com scrowl down till you see the 3 shot groups they seem to be easier for me to tune than the vld type & seem to like a little more powder my limited experience with them shows great promise regards shooter63

Jumped .020, using 31.2 grains of VV N 540. 2900FPS in a 30" Krieger 1/8 twist BBL. Hammers.......

In my rifle shooting the 105 hybrids the depths that shot the best groups (10 shots at 500 yards) were with a .010 jump and a .010 jam, with the jammed group showing slighly less vertical. I used the jammed load in two 4x600 F-class matches this year and have dropped a total of 10 points for the matches, my best string being a 200-15x. First match was a 796-47x, second was a 794-51x.

i just finished load development with the 105 hybrid in my 6brx. they shoot great. vertical about an inch @600. jammed .010 was good, but i settled on a .020 jump. 32.5 gr of re-15, 2980 fps. i tried varget but my barrel just din't like it as much as the re-15.

The 105H will shoot in .2 about anywhere, but find the right spot in your barrel it will go in the low 1's and zero's.......jim

I shoot these at 600 & 1,000 yards in my 6 Dasher. 200 yard test groups showed little difference in group size when loaded from jammed to jumping .030. I did my load testing with bullets touching and shoot them that way.

Doug - these are my results with .5 grain increases and .015 Jump. I used the same process to develop a load for 105 A-maxes and I found two nodes ~ 1 grain apart. So it surprised me a little with the Hybrid that I only hit a node at the top end (Group 4 in the 3 shot picture).

The 10 shot group shoulda/woulda/coulda been a lot better but I had trouble with my rear bag setup as you can see the shots went low and left until I corrected. These groups are all at 200 yards in my 6br.

The groups are nothing special but they are real world in that I am not setup for bench shooting and I am simply using a caldwell front rest.

All up it took me 22 shots (includes 10 shot group to validate ladder) and 2 hours to get to this point, so IMO the 105 Hybrid has huge potential.
