Berger 175 OTM load comparisons

Going to be loading up some of these soon. Wondering if anyone has compared load data on these to Hodgdons 175 SMK data with Varget. Berger and Sierra data has always been very conservative in my experience with Varget compared to Hodgdon. Most of the time Hodgdon has been spot on but I don't have any experience with these particular bullets.

I shoot these in my 24 inch bbl. .308.
Lapua brass. CCI250, 43.3 gr. Varget 2.885 max magazine length OAL.
Gives me 2615 fps with an ES of 15 fps. This is a rather conservative load however the accuracy is fantastic.
Of course the standard warnings to work up a load applies.

Thanks. I'll be shooting them out of a Krieger 1:11, 24" barrel that is throated for 175 smk right at the lands at mag length of 2.88. Can't wait to try them.

Same here - great accuracy out of a 24in 1:11:25 twist bbl. Use them for shooting past 600yd to justify the additional cost though. They won't really outperform the 175 SMK within 600yrd. I've used 44.0 gr Varget, Lapua case, CCI-BR2, seated at mag length 2.806 COAL getting 2645 ft/sec with single digit ES and SD. German salazar has a nice article about their bearing surfaces.

While doing load workup in my wifes rifle (Gradous Surgeon 20" 1:10 .299/.308 Bartlein) I shot this 3 shot group at 300 yards with 42.3gr of IMR 8208 XBR / Fed 210M's / New Lapua brass / Berger 175 OTM's seated .030" out of the lands.

Never have a chance to test those 175 OTM

But I currently using 175 LRBT and 175 SMK

Just increase only 0.5 gr. for 175 LRBT due to I seat it longer than 175 SMK
