Berger 115 hybrid?

I wonder how long it will be before Berger comes out with a 115 hybrid? Between that and the 105 hybrid they could pretty much dominate the 6mm bullet market.

I don 't think that you will see any of that, after all Bryan has already designed a hybrid bullt in 6mm and there would be no reason to make another. Esp when the BC on the 105 hybrid is already in a good spot.

I talked to Bryan at Perry this year some about a hybrid bullet in 22 cal. Said that he is planning on designing one, but it is not totally on paper. Prob will not see something till next spring.

Froggy, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility... the upside is huge.

If you got the form factor of the 115 to the same as the 105 Hybrid (.547G1, .278G7), then you're looking at 115/105 * 105'sBC for the hypothetical 115 Hybrid. That gives a BC of .599G1 or .304G7 for the 115. That's *huge*, very nearly the 140gr 6.5mm Hybrid.

It's even possible for the heavy bullets to have better (lower) form factors than the semi-heavy bullets, so the 115 could be even sleeker still. Or, bullets that long can be tough to get to shoot, so the form factor could be a little less sleek than the 105... but anything in the ballpark of the 105's form factor in the 115 weight class will be one heck of a contender.

I think it's just a matter of time and priorities before Litz puts one together.

I totally agree with you there and what you are saying! But if a hybrid were to be made in a larger weight, I would gather to guess that the finish weight would be some where around 111 grains. This is my thinking after having that long talk with Bryan.

Just as I was mentioning before, imagine a 22 cal hybrid in the 87 gr range at 3100-3200 fps area. Now that my friend is something to be thinking about!

Something around a 115 hybrid being shot out of the larger 6mm like the SLR,6-.284 or the CM could be pretty amazing! For now ill stick to the 105 hybrid out of my 6XC but its interesting to think about. A hybrid in .22 would be incredible as well!
