Looking at purchasing a used Borden BRM. Was inspecting it upon receipt and felt the pin drag slightly so I took it apart to find the nose is deformed. See the attached picture and this short video showing what it looks like.
In the video, it looks way more obvious that the tapered portion of the pin is also slightly bent, so it's not just the tip.
It is bad enough that the pin sticks in the bolt body if it is turned other than the 1 way it slides. To clarify, If I take the bare firing pin and slide it in the bolt body, only in a certain orientation will it protrude the end. While it is in there in the "fired" position, if I grab it and try and spin it 90deg, it jams itself in the body. I brought this to the sellers attention and he says that they start to do that in around 500 rounds. Seems highly unlikely to me, I've never heard of someone needing to change their firing pin once or twice per barrel...
The pin hole in the bolt face doesn't look too worn or deformed, but I have no way of really looking in the tapered "guide" portion in the body, I can only see as far as my borescope will fit. I can't tell if it is wearing inside anywhere.
