Benchsource Annealer?

Pros.
Easy to set up and use.
Love it.

Cons.
Manual feeding onto rotating disc. As I only do 50 cases per session this is no problem for me. But if you had to do hundreds, then it could be a chore for some.

A friend of mine touted me to the bench Source when I was planning to buy a different type. He was right on. Its easy to set up and use, and a couple hundred pieces of brass only takes about 20-25 minutes of run time. Its a well made piece of equipment as well, not a rube Goldberg deal.

You may think that the manual feeding is an issue, but one day you'll find that you've annealed all the brass you own in a short while. I do several hundred cases at a time. You can do about 8 to 10 cases a minute give or take, so think about it, other than cranking on a Dillon what other reloading task can you realistically expect to do 500 of in an hour?

Ever notice that the two things you almost never see for sale are Benchsource annealers and Giraud trimmers?

This is absolutely correct. Anybody who thinks the Benchsource is slow has never done the drill and socket thing, it's a breeze and so much joy to do compared to that old method and much more accurate/precise too.

$547 with 2 torch tips and delivery (NW US). I received mine a week ago but have not had a chance to use it. I tested it out without flames and it is a high quality piece of equipment!!

It is not actually rotating when you insert a case. Stops for whatever period of time you have it set for when the case is in the flame. But, don't spend that $550. I'll do your cleaned cases for 10cents, each, plus shipping, on my Bench Source.

Pro's I have one, think it is a great unit. Loading cases is a breeze and one can do a hundred cases in just a few minutes. Easy to set up, great for minute adjustments in rotating speed. Con I was having cases fall over frequently, made some bushings on my lathe, they stopped the problem. Got my friend to buy one, made him a set of bushings, he loves his to.

Thinking of buy one also. The "cases falling over" worries me. Anyone else have this problem? Also, when watching the video of the unit it seems really loud. Just how loud is it?

When the price got to a break even point with the Giraud, I went for the Giraud. Simply because it works and it is simple to use once set up.
