Hi...I'm trying to learn about how a Benchrest stock rides the front rest bag and the rear bag. Is there an angle between the bottom of the forearm and the bottom of the rear of the stock where
it rides the rear bag? What would be the best angle or are the parallel to each other? Is there a specific angle between the centerline of the bore and the surfaces that ride the bags? The bottom of the forearm is 3' it seems for the most part, is there a certain configuration to the bottom of the rear of the stock? Are bags made to have different widths of the bottom of the rear stock? Is it best to be round where it meets the rear bag, or flat with sharp corners? I'm trying to envision how each surface works with each other to have a gun ride the bags as consistent as possible. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, just understand better how it all works together.
Sorry to be so long winded...old folks learn slower...
