Benchmark vs h335 experience

have any of you tried Benchmark vs he335, I have good results with h335 which I almost out of but have some Benchmark. using in 222m with SIerra 50 and 55bkings

Hodgdon does not list loads for it in their data but has h335, which my loads just about duplicate.

just curious.

Interestingly enough, these are the two powders I use exclusively with 55gr bullets (including blitzkings) for .223. Super accurate. I find both give velocities that are very similar with the same powder charge. I seem to see slightly faster velocities with Benchmark though. Not sure what you will need for powder charge in a 222M though.

Benchmark meters well because it is such a small stick powder. It is also a little faster, so work up the load.

Hi-Tech has new production (not pulldown) WC844 in stock, $144.00/8 lb. WC844 is the canister version of H335. The two lots I've had I'd rate a couple percent slower than H335.

At that price, I'd rather pay for H335 and get a known commodity. I have 24# of WC844 and will use it for plinking.

Gotta agree with you there, when it was $8-$10/lb buy 4 and they pay shipping and hazmat it was a no-brainer. They are essentially the same though, with production batch variances.

I bought a lot of wc844 pull down and in the .223 rem it is fantastic.I have shot really great groups with wc844 and 50 grain hollow point bullets. My rifle has a armalite brand barrel and the rest is bushmaster and it is the best shooting ar I own and that powder is perfect for it.
