Bench rest scope for rimfire

Could some one please help a newbie with a suggestion for a rimfire bench rest scope. What power, single or variable power. This will be shot at 50yd Club matches with an Anschutz 1913BR50.

i use an old school 36x

For club stuff a Leupold D 36X or a nice used Weaver 36X should fit the bill nicely.

I use a Vortex Golden Eagle when shooting similar style matches. Works great. I really like the ECR-1 reticle with the small dot.

Are there any restrictions on scopes?
Where I shoot you can’t use over 6.5 power scope and that cuts you way down in choices,especially looking for very fine reticles you really don’t have many choices.
If you don’t have any restrictions, the sky is the limit. Any that has been mentioned are fines choices.

You'll go bigger if you go small.
Weaver t36 is what I use.

Any 36 or better imo.

Not sure what restrictions you have for BR, but for F-sbr, I use a Mueller 8-32X44. Won't break the bank, and more than adequate to get the job done.

Sightron 45X, reasonably priced and has very good glass

I never looked through the 45X. Do you think it is better than their SIII 10-50x60 for about $100 more?

I've have (had) both. The 45x is the better of the two all the way around. The 36x is quite good too. Especially for what you're wanting to do with it. JME. WD

A 45 Sightron is hard to beat for the money and how good they shoot and even better how they move and hold point of aim.... Jim

Sightron 45x45 best bang for the buck by far.

At my Club we have Weaver T-36, Sightron 45, and Luapold 42's on the usual winners. My T-36 has kept me in the race. Nightforce has a good one too if you have the bucks. Doping the wind is what separates the winners from the pack.

Would you use it for 1000yd LG shooting? Or do you think a step up from that with the larger calibers?

I have good friends that are using the 45 Sightron at Williamsport and Reade Range at 1000, and they do very well..... jim

Best way I can answer your question, I had 3 S-III 10-50's. I no longer own a 10-50 and have 2- 45x now
