Bell and Carson Odessey stock

Is this stock a drop in for a 10/22 with a Kidd trigger?
The barrel is .920.

Reviews at Midway show some people had to do some dremel work.

How well does it hold up to sling tension in a prone position?

Thanks!

Hmm. It says 'forend has a rail for attachments'. I guess I'd better ask B&C.

If the rail does accept handstops, would putting sling tension on the stock impact accuracy? I was thinking that it would only impact accuracy as long as the barrel stays free floated. But, I was wondering about having just one action screw.

ETA: B&C says the rail is a #6 European. Does anyone know if a #6 European rail accepts Anschutz accessories?

I didn't have an odyssey but the one BC stock I had the 10/22 action would not drop in without fitting. Not a big deal but be prepared to do a little work on it. If I would have paid McMillan price I would not have been happy.

I like the Odyssey. No problem with the Kidd trigger.

I have a 29" barrel on mine. The long barrel adds stability and is like a built-in suppressor with standard velocity ammo.

I believe it is a descendant of an Anschutz stock. It is very useful and comfortable, and a bargain compared to what is being sold today under the guise of "chassis"...Tom

I don't recall. I have on some stocks.

The rear tab on any 10/22 trigger body also serves as a rear action mount as it has a tab that engages the stock.

The only inletting in this regard that I have done is to slightly sharpen (scratch) the inside corners of the tab slot in the stock as the Kidd has slightly sharper tab edges.

If needed I would do it with a sharp nail or a small file instead of the Dremel...Tom
