Bedding

What is the difference between glass/epoxy bedding and glue in bedding. Glue in would give one the impression that the action can't be removed from the stock.

That's how I would take it also. No movement if it's all glued in. It would suck if you got a new stock for Chirstmas right after you glued in your action. Doooh!

Glue ins are just that-Glued in solid and you'll need to carve it off, or place it in a freezer full of dry ice before you'll ever get it off the stock.....
Glass bedding has a release agent used to separate the action from the stock after the bedding has cured.......

Glue-ins are easily removed using a standard clothes iron. Just set the iron on the 'High' or 'Cotton' setting and put in on the top of the reciever or across the scope bases. In about 12-15 minutes you'll be able to lift the barrelled action out.

I don't do glue-ins on my own BR rifles but have removed quite a few this way.

Good shootin'. -Al

No disrespect intended, but the 2 barrels I needed to remove from the stocks didn't pop off by using a iron. Maybe they were glued on with AccuGlas.
