Just received a steel picatiny scope base for my r700 and I planned on bedding it anyways, but it's slightly sway-backed. No twist or anything, just can see it when looking down the side.
For bedding this, should I bed and tighten down one end first, then the other to try and get it straight? Or should I try to straighten it off the rifle with a 3 point fixture in a heavy bench vise?
It was an eBay purchase, used, so I can't just send it back for a new one.
