bedding a B&C sock

Has anyone ever had problems bedding a B&C stock? I am in the process of installing pillars and then the final bedding of the action and I had to do a lot of work to get the action lined up with the screw holes and then to get it lined up with the floor plate holes! Is this common? I have done a lot of different stocks that I didn't have this much trouble! Also, when I relieved the area around the floor plate I found voids that I will have to fill and this is only the ones I can see! Is this common on the cheaper stocks? I have had better luck with laminated stocks. I would think that injection molded stocks would be to closer tolerances, Ron

I had a B&C stock where the rear screw hole was a good inch off-center. Unfortunately my gunsmith started working on it before I saw it, because I sure as shooting would have returned it for a refund! As it was, I was stuck with it.
