Beating a dead horse.....

Downeast,

maybe, but there are no jobs that pay over a hundred grand in those departments. They pay their lobbyists a couple times that a year. If you are a Life Member, call them and ask what their officers make. Be sitting down first.

How’s this for an idea. What if the competition division posted scores, records, classifications and any other related things on their web page and also sent you an email with those updates. And did it all within a week or so them receiving all these results? What a concept. Customer service. And then at the bottom of the page they could have a link to donate to the NRA. I bet we’d all donate more than we do if we felt we got a little more for our money. It could be a win win for everyone.

That is kinda like the CMP does now except without the donate button.

Not Knocking the NRA
They are far from perfect ( like most of us here ) but I want to see both the NRA and the CMP Succeed

I deal with them often and I agree.
The people making due short staffed in the Competitions Dept work hard and are doing all they can with the staff they have.

Sorry to interrupt the complaining :)

Contrary to the resolution proposed by former Sec. Jim Land addressing the NRA's commitment to competition, the Competitions Division has been cut 'to the marrow', to quote a now deceased friend of mine.

It would appear to a casual onlooker, that the NRA is divesting itself of competition entirely - simply through asphyxiation of the sport. Classifications are computer generated - when a score is entered for a competitor, the algorithm computes their classification and a new card is generated if merited.

The members of the competition are working beyond short staffed; it's a crying shame what has happened there.

Greetings,
Happy news from the NRA. The FTR National Records have been updated, at least til early August. I'd did not check any others.
John

NRA Competitions has an additional person now, handling National Records among other duties.
That is nice. I sent them an email last week about my brothers national record he scored at the 2018 Berger SWN. That extra person, or any of the others that happen to work in that division, have yet to even respond to that email. WTF. I am beginning to believe that F-Class needs to have their own national association, very much like skeet, trap and most pistol competitions have gone to.
