I hate bringing up the age old topic of National Records, but..... I can't believe it has nearly been a year and all the records broken at last years F-Class National Championship haven't been recorded and those shooters haven't been recognized for their stellar performances. Mike Plunkett, Ray Gross, Randy Littleton, Brian Harder to name a few. Even my brother's senior Palma course record from the Berger 2018 hasn't been recognized. Has the NRA taken a couple of years off?

I’ve seen countless classifications as well as state or regional competition awards dating all the way back to last November that I still haven’t seen recorded or handed out for a number of people I shoot with. At minimum it’s just disrespectful to those who deserve the recognition however it also makes it difficult for match directors as people are often unsure whether to use their currently carded classification or the one they may have earned but aren’t sure since they don’t have a card. Rumors abound as to why this is occurring but ultimately it’s just plain frustrating and has a de-incentivizing effect to some of those attending matches. I can tell you it’s a topic that has come up at every match I’ve attended in the past year and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere quickly.
 
To say that the Competition Office at the NRA is understaffed, is the understatement of the century. I have interacted with the people there on several occasions and they have always been extremely helpful and accommodating. The problem is not the folks in the Competition Office, it's simply that the NRA as a whole puts little emphasis on tabulating match scores and handing out classification cards.

As Snuggie noted, the NRA apparently puts far more emphasis on sending out tens of thousands (or more) of solicitations for donations. Perhaps if the NRA shifted a few people from the Solicitations Office over to Competition, and cut the number of solicitations by half, they'd actually be making (saving) money and the classification cards and awards would go out in a more timely manner.
 
My son got his Master classification card for mid range F/TR last month, two months after he earned it, so that’s a good sign.

But my daughters High Master, earned around 8 months ago hasn’t been registered. She’s a little bummed by that, primarily because she doesn’t want to be even with her little brother;)

You might want to contact the competitions division about your daughter's classification. It could be the results got posted to the wrong discipline or some other issue causing the classification to not go through correctly.

My personal experience with the department that deals with the classifications has been very positive. I have contacted them twice in the past about corrections to classifications and the lady I interacted with was very responsive in both cases. She would call back very shortly after me having left a message and the issues were resolved within days of me contacting them.

For the national records office the turnaround time has been less swift to say the least. I set a record in July 2018 and in December 2018 I contacted the records office to see when it would be posted and I was told they were going to try to have all records set in 2018 entered in the system before end of 2018.

I followed up with an email in April 2019 asking about the record and the reply was it should be posted by end of June.

When I checked the site at the end of July it had not posted, but I just checked the NRA site today and it is now listed :) So ~12 months to post.

Not to hijack this thread or anything but do they still send out physical classification cards? I remember when I got my first classification for small bore years ago I got a letter in the mail with a card and stickers. After a few years of not shooting I got into highpower last year and I haven't seen a thing in the mail concerning classifications.
 
They always call me when I am up a ladder with something I can barely lift over may head in one hand and a screw gun in the other hand. Many years ago I was harassed by a bill collector over a bill that wasn't mine. The NRA is way more aggressive than the bill collector was.

You can see your shooting activity (results) and current classifications if you go to this site and register:
https://competitor.nra.org/Login.aspx

There is a Register link on the right of the page. If you click that link it will ask you need to enter your name, NRA number and specify a user name and password to use.

Once registered you can log in and on the 'Competitive Shooting Dashboard' you will see your classifications at the top of the page. Towards the bottom right of the same page there is a 'Competitor Activity' link where you can see all match results that NRA has on record for you.

If you do not see results for matches you have shot you can call the main NRA number and go through the prompts to get to the competition / classifications department. They can help determine why the results are not showing.

I deal with them often and I agree.
The people making due short staffed in the Competitions Dept work hard and are doing all they can with the staff they have.
