They have a terrible (online) track record. Having said that, their military discount is awesome, and I've had decent luck with an upper I bought. Granted, if something needed to be tight outta the box, it wasn't. And when I tried to remove the barrel nut? OMG. I didn't think it would ever come off. Had to use a freakin' cheater bar, and lots of leverage.

What's the discount? Just for military or law enforcement also?

I can’t imagine any reason why you could responsibly push it harder than an ar. From what I have read there is nothing about it that is beefed up. You could buy a higher quality bolt but it’s still a consumable. Lifetime vs two lifetimes?

I agree, I can't imagine why, either. But I wanted to ask, see if anyone had any thoughts I had not. If I had found a stainless threaded bolt action in 22ARC I'd have it already and not have looked at the BCA upper.

Someone will think and maybe ask: why the 22 ARC? Because I have tons of 6.5G brass since that's what I hunt with exclusively. Combined with good velocity, having easily-formed 22ARC brass makes it my choice. I've been pushing 100gr from the 6.5G at 2,750fps from a 16" which is a little hot. I've also broken 2 bolts in the last 6 years so I'm going to tone that down and look for another rifle/cartridge for 300+ yards.
