BBR brass? Who is that?

Hope someone very knowledgeable will chime in here and school me. Is this barnes ballistic research. I can find nothing pertaining to this brass. It is actually bbr-13 338 lapua mag head stamp. Found some once fired at a decent deal and it is claimed to be Lapua made. Thanks guys. I found the image on the net but no real info.

BB could stand for Bertram Bullet. The 13 is likely the year made. Matt

That's a Barnes head stamp. They also have/had a BBR-13 5.56, 308 Winchester and 300 Winchester Magnum. They are referred to as Barnes Precision Match Ammo.

Their brass is produced by Remington, to their specifications. AFAIK, Remington still makes the Barnes factory ammo.

Like Dusty said, it looks like lapua font. In the same forum where your image came from, they indicated it was lapua brass and the BBR stands for Barnes Ballistic Research.

BB Bertram Brass could only dream of looking that quality. It's some of the worse brass I've had the pleasure of using.

Savage6.5 I read that forum too. That was the only indication I could find on it being of lapua manufacture. GSXR just said it was produced by remington.

I believe it is Barnes ballistic research it was on sale on Midway USA a while back and very deep discounted prices
