Bbl Bore n twist for Dasher/ BRX

Ordering a couple of new bbl blanks for my BRX. Shoot 105 n 107 gr bullets out to 1K in 30+ inch bbls.

where has the most success been:

.236 or .237 bore?

7.5 or 8 twist.

Bob

For whatever reason, seems the heavy bullets go with the 237 and the short range light weight bullets go with the 236. Like above, never been able to shoot the difference.

.237 has treated me well whether it’s a 13.5 twist or a 8 twist or even a 12 twist. I have shot short fat bullets all the way to long skinny bullets.

I also have a few Brux barrels that are.236 and they shoot well. So don’t get hung up on .236 or .237.

I have called and had this conversation with Brux, Bartlien, and Krieger and at the end of the day they said the .237 came along because the bullets got fatter. Also to note if you order a barrel from Krieger and don’t specify .237 their standard barrel is a .236. Brux as you may know only makes .236, so hopefully this helps you out.

Uniform support for the 1:8 twist. You really can't go wrong with this.

FWIW, I'm sold on the Brux 4 groove .236" 6mm barrels. Groups and scores have improved since I've been running a couple of them.
