BAT repeater question/s for 6BR through Dasher.

I was wondering if a BAT repeater action has a chance at 1000 yd competition?

Reason: I am going to build a 6mm type cartridge for a walking rifle on a Lilja barrel I have and would like to be able to use the BAT action in another stock/barrel setup for 1000 yd competition because those suckers aren't cheap, not that anything is these days, but that's another subject.

I use some of mine for hunting. If you are shooting off a portable bench you can shoot a single shot as fast as a repeater. If the shells are sitting in a block I can shoot 10 shots in 30 seconds with my heavy and in a minute with my light. That is with a 300 WSM and recoil is hard on a 17 pound gun. I don't think you can shoot any faster with a repeater. I like the single shot for better bedding and stiffer. Matt

I understand the single shots being stiffer and easier/better to bed the action in a stock. This led me to do a lot of thinking over the last couple of days.

I've shot a lot of deer, but I have never had to shoot one twice! There have been a few times when I "Thought" I needed a second shot, but usually they are gone so fast that becomes almost impossible in the woodlands of the East coast.
I have lost a few due to other so called hunters claiming it was there kill, and one tried to swim the Potomac river, nothing I could do (deer, not the hunter)!

Ground hogs are another story, but I don't get bent out of shape for missing one of those, LOL.
Thanks to all for there input.

So, it appears it will be a single shot action.
