Bat model B question

I just purchased a brand new bat model B dual port. No trigger installed. When you open the bolt and cycle it back when the lugs get to the back of the ports and re enter the enclosed action there before resting on the bolt stop, there is a slight bang as they align to enter and you hear a click. I can sometimes notice it on the close on the front of the ports but very very slight. Is this normal becuase the of the so tight clearances or is something out of alignment ? I guess I can call BAT but thought I’d ask other owners real quick first.
Thanks

Put it this way if you close your eyes and hold the action and open and cycle the bolt you will feel and hear a slight interference when the bolt
Lugs get to the back of the load port and go back in the receiver toward the bolt stop

Mine and a friends new MB does the same thing, there both shooters...I’m pretty sure it’s normal.

I have found that if you hold the action vertical it does not do it but when it’s horizontal it does. I’m expecting it’s due to the lack of clearance the the strain on the bolt against the lugs in the race when it’s opening. I appreciate your input and any others or Smith’s that are familiar with these actions.

Your feeling the back edge of the lugs hitting the top corners of the raceways. There is no fix you can do at this point, but I have put a small radius the edge of the race way to smooth out re-entry on many actions. Same on the front of the port where the edge of the race way is.

This is exactly what it is Alex, is this normal or did I get a less than perfect action?

Thanks
