Bat MB action

I am having a f class rifle built on a bat mb action in 6.5-284. Was at the shop yesterday to look at the action and noticed that it did not have a recoil lug. Was planning on pillar bedding the action, but not sure that it is possible without a recoil lug. Question-is it possible to glue in the mb action with 6.5-284 for long range use. Anyone have any thoughts on why my MB action has no recoil lug. Did the research on actions and thought that the MB came with a integral recoil lug. I will be using a Mcmillan F class stock. Thanks for any input.

Easy for the smith to install lug and pin when installing barrel, like a Rem. I ordered mine with a machined in lug.
