I am trying to settle on one bullet to shoot in my 13.5 twist 6PPC and really want to use a 68 BT,,I have shot a bunch of JDS 68 BT and several Berger Column Bullets and a few of Barts 68 FB,
is one of Barts 68 BT supposed to actually be head and shoulders above the others or are they just different and need to try them all and see which one your bbl likes best,,
I have a 1000 of the Ultra 68 BTs and 500 of the Ultimate 68 BTs,,and have really high hopes for both but expect one to outshoot the other,,
one more question on seat depth,,some people call jam different things than others,,the way I measure where my bullets are seated is from where the bullets ogive just touches the lands and anything longer than that is +.0 something and shorter than that is -.0 something,,
where is the best place to start with the 68 Ultra BTs from just touching?? I usually start +.025 from just touching and work back shorter in .005 to get a rough idea and then fine tune from there,,
the 68 JDS BT shot some really good groups for me here at home,,the best I had shot ever but the Berger Columns actually shot better scores for me on the 100/200 UBR targets,,but it seems I have topped out with the Bergers at around a 500 avg the last 5 matches and I was about out of bullets and finally found the Barts Bullets in stock at Bullet Central and if they shoot as good as advertised I will never let myself get anywhere close to being out again,,being my first year shooting matches and all I had no idea how many bullets I needed and how hard they were to come by in the middle of the summer,,
sorry for the long post,,but I really put a lot of stock in what the shooters on this board have to say on all things accuracy,,
thanx again eric
