Barts Bullets

Has anyone tried Barts bullets? If so what are your thoughts on them? He has 3 different .224 bullets that are 52gr, Original, Ultra and Watson. What are the differences between them? Thanks

Shot a lot of Ed Watson's 52 gr. flat base bullets over the years. Great match bullet. I was aware that Bart bought Ed's dies after Ed Watson's passing but have not shot any of the bullets Bart has made using Ed's dies. Have also shot quite a few of Bart's original 52 gr. flat base bullets. Another great 22 caliber match bullet in my experience. Try some. You will not be disappointed.

5 shots @1000 yds. with Barts 105g Hammers, new range record.
But don't buy them, cause they'll be more for the rest of us.
He is out 2 months or more on orders. Hard to find a good supply of jackets right now.

I’ve shot hundreds of the Barts 52g Origional bullets in my 222‘s, lots of five shot groups @ 100 yds in the 1’s and several 0’s.
Today I shot two groups of the 52g Ultras for the first time in a 40XBR and they’re shooting as good as the originals.
Reloadinginternational.com had both last week.

I shoot the ultras on coyote in my 22-250, very good bullet for fur.

These custom match bullets are phenomenal fur projectiles. For over 3 decades I've shot the Ed Watson Trophy Match bullets for coyotes. Inspired by Rick Jameson, I built a 22-6mm CJ and drive the 52 gr over 4,200 fps. As long as you don't hit them around the edges, it's a 22 cal entrance hole, no exit and instant lights out! I know you understand exactly what I'm talking about.

Glad Bart carried on the tradition and bought the Watson bullet dies. When I'm out, my replacements will come from Bart's Bullets.

What twist in your 223?
Will a 9 be to much?
Not in my Rem 700 .223 Tactical. Shoots very well. I have a .222 700 BDL Sporter factor barrel, I imagine a 14 twist, that with 4895 is scary accurate. I think if you put that factory Sporter barreled action in a regular 3 in. br stock with the 52's it would would not be last at a short range br match against 6ppcs. Now, how can I say this. Back when I started BR I competed for 2 years with a factory M70 heavy barrel .222. I was always the only .22 caliber and the only factory rifle. I usually finished about the top of the bottom third. This sporter 700 is more accurate than that rifle was. Try them, I bet you will like them. Let us know if you do.
