who's custom bullets expand decently?

I know a vmax or ballistic tip is a varmints nightmare but has anyone had good luck with custom handmade bullets. I know a 68gr Bart ultra will pop on a groundhog and a 69gr Spencer won't but has anyone tried the various 52gr .22 bullets? I recently purchased a remington 40xbr in .222 and I was going to buy 1000 custom (barts, zia,Spencer,Fowler, knight) bullets for informal competition and occasional groundhog assasinations. I'm too trifling to mess with 2 different loads and drop charts. The whole keep it simple stupid factor applys here otherwise it may become total chaos. Thanks for any help.

Yes shoot the Speer TNT. It is the one bullet that speer makes in their rifle line that is a real great bullet. My only complaint is they are getting to the point that you might as well shoot another bullet.

I really like the TNT becuse it does work wonders on PD at even longer ranges.
