Well Tony told me that Faye didn't like to practice at all and basically wouldn't. He said that when she first started shooting that she took to it like a duck to water. Some people are like that. He said some people think that I loaded for her and did this and that for her which he said wasn't true at all. She found her own loads for the particular barrel that she was using. She would load her own ammo ect. He said she did it all on her own.

Faye could do her own stuff but Tony was testing the barrels. For awhile Tony wasn't shooting that great. I talked to him about it and he explained he was putting the best barrels on Faye’s guns to get her into the Hall of Fame. I asked him what Faye liked to shoot for a condition, he said,”I can’t shoot the stuff she does it looks like Spaghetti to me. Flags going every which way.” I watched her after that and the flags were kind of a jumble and she’d beat the crap out of you shooting it.

Faye was a Kind and Gentle Soul and I miss her.

I never got to meet her Bart. She passed away 2 years before I met Tony but my friend Craig Rowe told me she was like a mother to everyone.

I once noticed that Tony had a lot of take off barrels. I asked him if he had tried different loads in them. He replied that he had a chance to do that while an illness kept him off work and that they were not competative. When I got a so_so barrel, I had to work with it to find an acceptable load. I still dont understand how he could tell by shooting into the side of a mountain near his house. Both of them were truly one of a kind. They did so much for benchrest.. Faye did a lot for the red hat ladies also
