Barrel vise ?

That's to take them off. I use maybe 50-60 ft.lbs. to put new ones back on. How can I use less torque to take them off? Sometimes I have to use a 4' cheater bar.
When I remove a barrel and it takes an inordinate amount of torque, I use a heat gun. When putting a new one on I use never seize and 50 lbs of torque. Never had on come loose.

FWIW,
I have one made for Jerry Fisher. It is an elegant design. Kind of a Savile Row take on a barrel vise...
