Barrel Vise Questions

I don't remove factory barrels, but oak blocks in a 4" bench vise have gotten the most stubborn barrels off i have dealt with. Powdered sugar works great to prevent slipping if you dont have rosin.

I'm happy with the viper. For my infrequent use I am glad I didn't spend more. I was able to get the barrel off my Tikka t3. I had to clamp the taper part and it caused 2 of the springs to get kinked. Im sure they would send me 2 springs, they are not really needed though. I like the cutting it in half idea though.
