Barrel stamp kit

They've come down at least 2000 dollars since I got mine, and now there is a swarm of smaller less powerful lasers out there that will mark a barrel just fine.

Cricut machine.
Set whatever font and size desired. I just do the minimum of cal and co. Not a fan of turning the barrel into a billboard with neck diameter, freebore, etc. Bought it primarily to cut my own Cerakote stencils with double duty for etching stencils

I have a short but wildly entertaining video on You Tube (Will Henry's Workshop) which shows an old man tediously stamping a 375 Ruger barrel. #46 in the series, I think. I've been doing it the same way for fifty years. WH

I’m with Aaron, laser is the answer. I have a 30w and have zero regrets. I bought mine used and it was over 4k…now they are much better.

Initially, I bought the etchomatic kit and tried to go that route because the lasers were so expensive. My printer wouldn’t print dark enough to get a good transparency. Got frustrated and figured if I was going to need a new printer the laser was the route, I horse traded my way into it.

On my Bench Rest barrels I just mark them with a Sharpie Permanent marker. Knowing the barrels are easily replaceable. On my hunting rifles engraved or laser etched knowing that those barrels with be on that rifle for years.
