Barrel size

Hello All,
Is it possible that the barrel fitted to your rifle maybe too heavy?
Rem 223 FClass with Lawton fluted barrel 27.5" long.

Isn't it what causes barrel droop?

Barrels can in some circumstances be to heavy for some actions.IMHO
on the other hand
Barrels also can be to long for certain cartridges IMHO

A lot will depend on the action used, and how it's bedded....
I run some pretty heavy long barrels on a SV BAT action with a heavy recoil lug with no problems.....

Some of the AR-15 .223 shooters use 28" barrels. A Rem bolt gun should be able to handle that length easy.

Thanks for the replies, the barrel, as I said earlier, is 27.5" long 1" at the muzzle and 1-1/4" at the breech.
