Barrel Question.

I have shot Bartlein, Shilen, and Rock Creek barrels and I know that about 90% our your accuracy depends on the smith putting it together. Bartein and Rock are single point cut from what I remember. Shilen is a button-pull, if I remember correctly. All three shot very well for me and I can not tell any difference in fouling or accuracy between them.

My question to you long-timers is:What is your opinion on the barrel making processes and have YOU ever noticed a difference in the different types? Thank you.

Have never had a bad cut-rifled barrel. Every one shot within my personal accuracy std. But, had an "OK" button barrel, a real mediocre button barrel and a couple that were absolute hammers...every barrel fitted by the same gunsmith. Until you shoot a specific barrel, you really never know what you will get.
