After giving it a lot of thought I decided to keep the rifle, shoot it and then re-barrel it. (to what caliber I do not know) A friend of mine gave me some Hornady 165gr BTSP about 200, I thought I may as well load some up, any thoughts to powder? have any pet loads.
When you rebarrel, consider one of the WSM chamberings. You won't improve barrel life at all with say, a 6.5WSM or a 7WSM but you can reduce recoil. 300WSM is also a fantastic cartdridge and with to 200gr bullets it can challange the 300WM.
Persoanlly, I'd rebarrel back to 300WM, 30" 9.5 or 10 twist throated for 215s and screw a can on. I will say the TBAC muzzle brake reduces recoil more than my suppressor, but I enjoy shooting with the can much more.
