What length barrel do you think is best for 6BR and why?

Probably depends on the distance you plan to shoot. Long range shooters usually want the extra velocity and go with the long barrels. Short range, the velocity is not so important, so a shorter barrel will be stiffer, and the amplitude of vibration will be smaller. You may want to state your range and purpose to get more specific recommendations.
It is going on a Benchrest gun, being shot at 600yds and less. Some say 26, some say 28, some say 26 is best because of how the powder is burned and released. Some say longer barrel =better velocity. This barrel is a 1:8. Just wondering about to much powder residue being left with a longer barrel, as the case only holds about 30gr of powder?
