Question on 6BR

In the Handloaders Volume of Cartridge Conversions the case length for the 6BR is listed as 1.52". New Lapua 6BR cases measure 1.55". Lapua cases have shown no problems with seating into my rifles chamber so I will use 1.55" as max length. What is the standard for 6BR case length?

The current Norma version of the 6 MM BR N(N for Norma) is 1.560"( or 1.598) depending on which reference. When Remington first developed the cartridge it was 1.520". Be careful with older rifles. Everybody uses the Norma version now. I set my trimmer to 1.555"

I set my trimmer to 1.560” after verifying through the use of a modified case that my chamber had an actual neck length of 1.575” cut by the reamer.

I used the shortest case out of 200 for my baseline. After reading the replys to my question all cases will be fired twice and then trimmed to 1.555. Thanks to dantiff2 and strut64.
