Barrel Diameter

I’m quite certain I could have put another 5 or ten rounds right there that would’ve opened that any more than a .230. Unless I had a flyer. It’s one of them skinny barrels.
That is a good group and your thinking is spot on. Another 5 or even 10 in that group is doable. Another 20 probably not. And then you throw in the moving to a new bull every shot and the time factor where the longer it takes the more likely a condition will get you.

I really don’t know. I always shoot 5 separate 5 shot groups and take the average group size. So I think if I can agg a .250 for 5 five shot groups then a 2500 is possible. It’s possible but averaging a .250 ain’t an easy thing. More so due to ammo and shooter and not the Rifle.
Like if you can shoot 5 of theses in a row

Not just the group size but need to be centered in the bull. I didn’t plug it but the top right is dangerously close to a 50 if it ain’t. Very difficult. So much fun.
Ok I did plug it. Very difficult were going to call it 100 but it’s dangerously close.

Oh this target was posted for size reference purposes. I didn’t want you to think I was shooting big slotted groups like that on purpose.
A rifle has to be able to shoot good. then it is on the shooter. here is a Falcon I used for ARA UL these groups were shot testing ammo when you could get lots to test. the first example is not including the fouler group the second include that group. the 20-shot group was with a different lot of CX.
as good as these groups were the best, I ever finished was second place.
I currently am shooting my back up rifle an Anschutz it shoots great, but it doesn't shoot as tight, but I have done way better with it and won a few matches with it. like many have said groups are great but the rifle has to have the ability to put that one shot where you want it to go. sometimes it may not be a rifle that can shoot the smallest groups.

I really haven’t been shooting groups with it. I have been shooting for score with it. As stated by others it’s tough. The Rifle is First class accurate, handicapped only by ammo, conditions and the shooter. 2500 right now is not even even on my mind. I think a 2400 is possible if I got a lucky shot or two or more.
My point was it’s a Skinny barrel. (Not Big dia)
A .900 straight.

You cannot buy a win you have to earn it. meaning you need to learn the rifle, when you can consistently shoot the same scores is when you need to improve on the equipment. a new built rifle does not guaranty a good shooting rifle.
you are a good example, you learned to shoot your rifle a certain way to make it work for you. with your next step it will be easier to acclimate how the rifle will want to be shot since you know already what you can do with it. that is what I mean by learning the rifle.

Yes Sir....I agree.

This is an example of what a 1.250 is capable of, Vudoo single shot, 1.250 16 twist Mullerworks/ec tuner in a Foundation stock.
Lapua test results were without the tuner.
