Barrel de-resonators work?

On another topic, does anyone have experience with one of the Limbsavor Barrel De-resonators? A buddy of mine says that he put one on his .22lr 10/22 with a bull barrel and he did notice a little bit of improvement, about an 1/8' at 50yds but was currious if this product really works or just on some applications and not others. As in my other post, I have a Savage 12VLP in .223 and it does pretty good at 100yds, 3/4' groups but out to 200yds opens up to about 4'. Just curious if it would cut my groups by an 1/8' at 100yds or is it a waste of 18$ and shipping.... Again, any comments or personal experience is appreciated and happy shooting!!!

i have one of these on my savages; standard barrel 243 and it cut groups by about half, from 3/4' at 100yds to 3/8' and on my savage 93 heavy barrel 17hmr, it cut groups from about 3/4' to 5/8'. i tried these guns back and forth in one range session with the sims on and off and the difference was consistently noticeable. it had no effect on my Rem597 22lr and shooting EPS grouped 3/8' at 50 yds with and without the sims. i'd think that it would have less of an affect on heavy barrels and perfectly bedded rifles.

i'd say the sims is not a bad buy for hunting rifles just in case it works cuz $18 is nothing when u spend hundreds or thousands on a gun, but as for match rifles an actual tuner would probably be best.
