also may want to sort ammo for overall length - I am finding significant (up to .040") difference in single boxes with TNT bullets, both CCI & Federal. that has to affect accuracy due to different bullet jump to lands.

Sort your ammo same brick of ammo will probably fall into 5 or 6 different sizes after sorting. group sizes will range from 3/4 of a inch to 1/4 and maybe more or less,it took 5 different brands before i decided on the ammo that my gun liked. you will see what size you gun likes then sort everything to get the right size. i did four brick's and got a little over two hundred shells that i wanted was well worth the trouble.

My marlin thumbhole shoots about an inch at 100 yards... havent been able to get it under that consistantly... so not all marlins are better too... just fyi... if i bought another i wouldnt buy a marlin...

My marlin 917vsf hammers. My friends savage and my marlin are neck and neck. We swap back and forth through the course of the day. One day mine shoots smaller most of the day the next his will. I can't tell by looking at my targets which were shot with my cz or my marlin.
I realize this thread had a month ball or two on it but not much has changed.
